To strengthen its academic team, the Architecture Department is now looking for a passionate and dedicated Lecturer who can contribute to shaping the next generation of architects and thinkers.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Lecturer, you’ll play an essential role in guiding students through their academic journey and creating an enriching learning experience. Your duties include:
- Recommending relevant textbooks, reference materials, and resources for your courses.
- Designing detailed course syllabi, complete with objectives, reading lists, grading plans, assignments, and weekly milestones.
- Teaching course content at a pace that ensures student understanding and full curriculum coverage.
- Providing students with assignments, term papers, and project guidelines—and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Preparing examinations that focus on analytical and problem-solving skills rather than rote memorization.
- Staying updated with new developments and trends in your field to keep course materials fresh and relevant.
- Creating a welcoming learning environment where students feel confident to question, discuss, and explore ideas freely.
- Maintaining regular class attendance and offering makeup sessions when needed.
- Demonstrating professionalism, respect, and fairness—free from any form of discrimination.
- Supporting students academically and emotionally as they grow intellectually and personally.
- Serving as a mentor and role model, dedicating time to student guidance and counseling.
- Participating actively in departmental activities and contributing to the university’s development.
- Keeping accurate records, submitting required reports, and engaging in continuous self-assessment and improvement.
- Accepting additional responsibilities and teaching assignments when required.
- Upholding the values, mission, and vision of Hope Enterprise University College.
About You
Qualifications
- PhD or MSc in Architecture (required)
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a Higher Education Institution (HEI)
